Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver in Aberdeen, MD. You will drive and deliver for major brands, inspect trucks and logs, and comply with DOT safety standards.

The role includes day-one benefits, a sign-on bonus up to $5,000, and competitive hourly pay. Candidates must be 21+ with a CDL-A and relevant driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a functional level.
• MVR and risk rating requirements must be met per McLane guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips; file DOT reports.
• Check bill of lading and keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries.
• Operate tractor-trailer to destination; comply with road regs and safety procedures.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations; document deliveries and temps.
• Unload product at customer sites; ensure accurate delivery; perform other duties.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
