Job summary

All Roads Kenworth - Ft. Lauderdale seeks an experienced CDL A/B Driver and shop assistant for part-time hours. The role involves test driving trucks, delivering to customers, and communicating mechanical details to technicians.

A valid CDL with manual endorsement and a clean record are required, along with DOT medical clearance. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years driving experience, comfortable with manual transmissions, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL A or B with manual endorsement.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• 2+ years of delivery/driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Current DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow safety procedures and DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with technicians about mechanical issues.
• Provide accurate service to customers with pick up and deliveries as needed.
• General shop assistance, clean up as needed.
• Remain alert while operating the vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with employees and customers.
• All other duties as assigned.

Description

CDL A Driver or CDL B with manual endorsement.

Great opportunity for an experienced unrestricted CDL A/B Driver & Shop Assistant at Kenworth of South Florida in Ft. Lauderdale. This role is responsible for test driving trucks serviced by our technicians. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical aptitude (or prior technician experience), at least 5 years driving experience, and be comfortable communicating mechanical information to the technicians about the vehicles. This position requires operating a manual transmission/stick shift on a daily basis.

Compensation

Compensation: $20 per hour, Part-Time Monday - Friday.
