Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Driver to transport and deliver windows and doors to dealers, DCs and construction sites. This hands-on, over‑the‑road role involves loading/unloading, safe driving, and strong customer service throughout the week, with some Saturdays as needed.

Base pay starts at $28.50 per hour with a Day Shift, Monday–Friday. Travel may be required to GA, NC, and FL, and the site is located at 1800 Westfork Rd, Lithia Springs, GA 30122.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with doubles endorsement if twin trailers are pulled.
• At least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience, including winter driving.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and handle loading/unloading tasks.
• Strong reading, writing and basic math for receipts and logs.
• Ability to work independently and follow on-board computer instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist in loading and unloading windows and doors at customer sites.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing of heavy products.
• Operate vehicle safely in various conditions and loading docks.
• Maintain driver logs and fuel mileage records per regulations.
• Comply with all regulations and company policies while delivering.
• Answer questions about packing lists and invoices; direct questions as needed.

Job Description

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver our windows and doors to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a tractor‑trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top‑notch customer service. This is a hands‑on delivery driving position and will be over the road during the week and some Saturdays may be required based on business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely assist in the loading and unloading of the product to customer’s location and/ or return products. (Driver will be required to handle the windows and doors)
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of windows and doors of varying weights
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, possible fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to appropriate contact
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and doubles endorsement if twin trailers are pulled at location
• Have an acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record
• 2 years of previous tractor‑trailer driving experience including winter driving experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, read road signs, maintain logs, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions and take directions via on‑board computer system and by phone
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively with people in a fast‑paced environment
• Travel as required (GA, NC, FL)
