Job summary

QXO is a leading building products distributor and installer seeking a truck driver in Lansing, MI. The role involves touch‑freight tasks, load inspections, and ensuring safe loading/unloading on site.

You must be 21+ with a valid Class A CDL and 12+ months of verifiable driving experience, plus willingness to work outdoors in all weather. You will report to branch management and coordinate with dispatch to meet delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
