Job summary

Sierra Forest Products Inc. in Seattle/Kent is seeking a CDL A Driver for local deliveries. This full-time, onsite role starts around 2 am with 8–10 hour days, operating a tractor trailer or straight truck as needed.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure safe loading and handling of premium wood products. Forklift operation may be required; a clean MVR is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license and clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years licensed driving on the road.
• Clear MVR/abstract required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Start at 2 am and drive 8–10 hours/day.
• Operate a tractor trailer or straight truck as needed.
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections and logs.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance throughout shifts.
• Safely load/unload and secure wood products for customers.
• May operate a forklift and/or related equipment.
• Provide excellent customer experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Role & Impact:

• Start at 2 am and drive for 8-10 hours/day
• Operate a tractor trailer; potentially straight truck as needed.
• Ongoing and continuous learning and development; including forklift certification.
• Comply with applicable legislation including safety operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety, and applicable traffic laws.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment meets our rigorous safety standards.
• Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary driver compliance documentation.
• Fill reports such as driver logs, inspection reports (pre-trip, enroute, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, and incident reports.
• Perform all aspects of truck and trailer load securement.
• Physically capable of opening and closing curtains on the trailer.
• Safely load and unload premium quality wood products for our customers.
• May be required to operate a forklift and/or Moffett.
• Safely lift material up to 75 pounds.
• Provide excellent customer experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
