Job summary

Sphere Renewables in Fort Lupton, CO seeks a safety-minded CDL A driver with forklift experience to transport and deliver goods. You will operate assigned vehicles, assist with loading, verify manifests, and maintain delivery logs while adhering to DOT regulations.

You will support a teambased environment, complete background checks, and participate in safety trainings. Benefits include PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL A license.
• Forklift experience required.
• Willing to submit to drug checks.
• Must complete a successful background screen.
• Willing & able to work in a teambased environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive the assigned vehicle.
• Pickup and safely transport goods to the destination.
• Assist with loading/unloading, strapping, etc.
• Ensure contents are secured to prevent damage/injury.
• Obtain signatures to confirm deliveries.
• Communicate with office/warehouse as needed.
• Verify shipment contents against manifest.
• Inspect vehicle at start/end of shift; report issues.
• Keep vehicle clean and logs up to date.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety plans.

Role Objectives

• Safely and efficiently transport goods.
• To execute the company policy
• To ensure full compliance with legal OSHA and ISO requirements

Duties and responsibilities

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.
• Pickup and safely transport goods to the intended destination.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods, strapping, etc.
• Ensure contents are properly secured to prevent damage/injury.
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries.
• Communicate with the office and/or warehouse as needed.
• Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document.
• Perform inspections of your vehicle at the beginning and end of each shift and report any problems or damage to management.
• Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.
• Adhere to company safety rules, regulations guidelines, policies, and sitespecific safety plans; comply with DOT regulations.

Environmental, Health & Safety

• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment [PPE]
• Participate in company sponsored safety training
• Follow safe work practices
• Report unsafe/hazardous conditions
• Comply with the company’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality [HSEQ] Policy, E002

• Work on continuous improvement of all facets under your responsibility and document results

Requirements

• Current CDL A license
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules & regulations
• Adaptability & foresight to handle unexpected situations [traffic, weather conditions, etc.]
