Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver (JR111146) to operate a tractor-trailer and deliver products to customer sites nationwide. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain DOT logs, and ensure accurate delivery and receipt of goods.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely service in a fast-paced distribution environment. The position offers competitive pay ($65,000–$110,000 per year during regular operations), a sign-on bonus up to $15,000, day‑one

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $65,000 to $110,000 per year.
• $55k - $70k per year during the training period.
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $15,000, depending on experience

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
