Job summary

McLane Company, Inc is seeking CDL‑A Delivery Drivers to move products to customers and support the company’s nationwide distribution network. You will operate tractor‑trailers, complete safety checks, and ensure accurate load paperwork while delivering to stores and facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL-A license and be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for safety and operations.
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor‑trailer for defects before and after trips and submit DOT reports.
• Inspect bills of lading and keys for accuracy during off‑hour deliveries.
• Operate tractor‑trailer safely to destinations per regulations and customer sites.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT rules and document receipts and temperatures.
• Unload products and deliver to customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $75,000 to $105,000 depending on route sizes.
• Sign‑on bonus: $10,000 paid out over your first year of service.
• Pay Structure: Hourly, Miles, Stops, and Cases.
• Home daily: Route schedule will vary. CDL‑A drivers will need to be available for overnight loads.
• Solo & Team driving.

What you'll do as a CDL‑A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor‑trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off‑hour delivery.
• Drive tractor‑trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL‑A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL‑A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job‑related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
