US Foods is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver Trainee in Twinsburg, OH. Core duties include safe delivery of products, efficient unloading, verification with customers, and maintaining vehicle safety inspections. CDL A Delivery Driver Trainee - Position Overview

This role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it's about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Driving : Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading : Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas - 100% touch freight.
• Delivery Verification : Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
• Customer Service : Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.
• Equipment Inspection : Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Account Management : Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required. Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required. Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees. Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

Qualifications

Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse* Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. Less than six-months commercial driving experience or less than three-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required. Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations. Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $25.55/hour and $28.55/hour.

As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation, retention bonus.
