Job summary

US Foods is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver in Alcoa, TN to safely deliver products to customers, verify deliveries, and provide excellent service. You will unload, inspect equipment, and manage routine account-related tasks while working a 4-5 day week with early morning shifts.

Starting early mornings, you’ll navigate highways and docks, maintain safety standards, and uphold our commitment to reliability and trust with customers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have valid CDL Class A with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience or 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Safe driving: deliver products to customers timely and safely.
• Unloading: 100% touch freight using two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand.
• Delivery verification: obtain customer signatures for deliveries.
• Customer service: provide professional service to enhance experience.
• Equipment inspection: perform pre- and post-trip inspections for safety.
• Account management: handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: perform other duties as assigned by management.

The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.**Key Responsibilities*** **Safe Driving:** Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.* **Unloading:** Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas **– 100% touch freight.*** **Delivery Verification:** Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.* **Customer Service:** Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.* **Equipment Inspection:** Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.* **Account Management:** Handle collections and payments when applicable.* **Adaptability:** All other duties assigned by management. **Physical Requirements*** Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.* Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.* Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.* Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity. **Qualifications*** Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse\\** Must be at least 21 years of age.* Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.* Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.* Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.* Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. **About US FOODS**Click here to learn more! \\*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
