Job Summary

To serve our customers by safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse by driving a tractor trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading products according to customer invoices and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, following safety and quality standards.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and timely, including logs, inspections, maintenance reports, and invoices.
• Ensure food safety protocols are met, maintain sanitary conditions, and inspect products for damages.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with customers through excellent service and communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent; one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred, or completion of a tractor trailer driving school.

Certifications and Technical Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License; insurability to operate a vehicle is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting practices. Skills in long-distance driving, customer communication, problem-solving, and delivering products. Ability to operate various vehicles and equipment, read/write English, perform basic math, plan work activities, and solve problems.

Physical Demands

Regularly sit, talk, hear; lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 350 pounds; climb in/out of vehicles; reach, bend, twist; and perform visual inspections.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, high places, fumes, airborne particles; moderate noise level. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
