Job summary

Mid-Am Building Supply is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team in the Heartland. You will deliver building materials to customers and branch locations, ensuring on-time, accurate deliveries and safe handling of loads.

The role requires a valid CDL, 3+ years of experience, and a clean DOT record. You’ll work Monday–Friday with early starts and be home nightly, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 3 years verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Current DOT Medical Examination Certificate.
• Ability to pass a DOT-required drug test.
• Criminal background check.
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse record.
• Ability to meet all applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and safe load securement practices.
• Ability to accurately complete delivery paperwork, driver logs, and required documentation.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work early mornings and occasional extended hours to meet customer delivery needs.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle to transport building materials to customers and branch locations.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups accurately, efficiently, and on time.
• Verify materials against shipping documents, ensuring accurate deliveries and obtaining required customer signatures.
• Properly secure and inspect loads to ensure safe transportation and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and all required DOT documentation.
• Operate a forklift to assist with loading and unloading building materials.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, warehouse teams, and branch personnel.
• Follow all company safety procedures, participate in required safety meetings, and maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Assist with additional delivery or warehouse-related responsibilities as needed.
