Job summary

Cregger Company Inc is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to safely transport and deliver materials, assist with warehouse operations, and ensure accurate shipping documentation in the Wilmington area.

The role requires adherence to DOT regulations, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and experience with forklift operations. You’ll work Monday–Friday with competitive pay and benefits integrated into a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires Class A CDL with HazMat Endorsement.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. and perform heavy pushing/pulling.
• Forklift experience and DOT compliance knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders safely and efficiently to customers in assigned routes.
• Prepare trucks, load, secure, and verify shipping documents.
• Inspect vehicles and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure DOT compliance.

The Class A CDL Delivery Driver will increase operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by safely and efficiently transporting and delivering materials and assisting with warehouse operations, including loading, securing, receiving, and preparing materials for delivery. This role requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A and adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.Job Duties:Ensure delivery vehicles and equipment are operated safely and efficiently.Prepare trucks for operation by assisting with and overseeing the loading of materials, securing items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping documents.Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other components to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation, with preventive maintenance in mind.Deliver orders using the most efficient routes to ensure complete and accurate deliveries within established time frames and according to customer needs.Maintain communication with the company throughout deliveries to receive updated instructions and coordinate delivery activities.Document deliveries, verify order accuracy, obtain customer receipts, and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.Maintain accurate delivery logs, driving records, vehicle maintenance records, and other required documentation in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.Maintain a safe driving record and comply with all applicable traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety requirements.Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.Handle materials accurately and responsibly to ensure customer satisfaction and prevent damage or loss.Assist with the day-to-day functions of warehouse operations to support efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.Communicate professionally and positively with supervisors, sales staff, coworkers, and customers to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and other operational activities.Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility to promote efficient warehouse operations.Operate safely and maintain a safe work environment by following all established safety guidelines and procedures within a drug-free workplace.Maintain a neat and professional appearance when representing the company and interacting with customers.Follow all company policies, procedures, and established operational guidelines.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Class A CDL w/ HazMat \"H\"Endorsement Certification*Must be 21 or older.Must have and maintain a valid class A commercial license.Able to lift up to 50-75 lbs., frequently perform heavy pushing/pulling of product.Must meet the defined MVR standards at all times to remain qualified to drive company commercial motor vehicle.Loading and Unloading experience preferredForklift experience preferredMust be able to pass a DOT physical and a controlled substance test in accordance with FMCSRBenefits:Full health, dental, and vision insurance.401 kPaid HolidaysVacation PayEmployee Referral ProgramEmployee DiscountQuarterly Bonus ProgramPlus more...Job Type: FULL-TIME (Monday – Friday)Pay Rate: $22.50-25/hr based on experience
