Job summary

Performance Foodservice seeks a delivery driver in Mississippi to ensure timely, safe transport of food products. You will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck on local and interstate routes, adhering to DOT regulations and company policies while representing the company with customers.

Responsibilities include communicating with customers, performing pre/post trip inspections, loading/unloading, completing paperwork, and maintaining logs per DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test and have a valid DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) and adheres to DOT regulations.
• Delivers orders by driving tractor trailer or straight truck on routes.
• Unloads products and secures freight at customer locations.
• Completes paperwork and daily hours-of-service log as required.
