Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Local Delivery Driver in Ohio. You will deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and more, with a home-daily schedule. Expect a 5:00 a.m.

start, Monday–Friday, and earnings of $75,000–$85,000 per year plus additional incentive pay. You must hold a Class A CDL, be at least 21, and be able to lift up to 100 lbs and operate a two-wheel cart up to 350 lbs. DOT background checks and drug testing apply; you will be paid weekly with benefits from day one

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL License at hire.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record per DOT standards.
• Must be registered through the DOT Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customer locations.
• Build relationships with customers on the route.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs and use ramp/two-wheeler as needed.
• Route is local with day shifts and home every day.
• Schedule is Monday–Friday; start time 5:00 a.m.; route completion.
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered.

CDL - A Local Delivery Driver - Chillicothe, OH

Location: 1111 Rarig Ave, Columbus, OH

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and a two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule: Monday - Friday, Start time 5 am until the route is finished

Pay: $75K - $85K /year

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record, as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us
