Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Abilene, TX is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to support the country’s food distribution system. You will drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring timely delivery and safe handling of products in accordance with DOT regulations.

This is a full-time role with competitive pay and benefits. Requirements include 21+ years old, 6 months driving experience, English proficiency, ability to pass DOT medical and drug tests, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6 months commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meets PFG MVR requirements for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Able to secure new DOT Medical Card.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure safety standards.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded freight; verify customer invoices and paperwork.
• Unload damaged goods and returns; complete necessary paperwork at end of shift.
• Maintain daily records and hours of service per DOT and company policies.
• Uphold safety standards throughout the delivery process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
