Job summary

McLane Company, Inc in Salt Lake City is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move and supply products to customers. You will inspect tractors, log DOT records, and deliver to customer premises while adhering to safety and DOT regulations.

We offer pay of $80k–$100k per year, day-one benefits, 401(k) profit sharing, and a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time, third shift, with opportunities for overtime and growth.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Must read, write, and understand English sufficiently to perform job tasks and safety communications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, following commercial driving regulations and safe vehicle handling.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations and document delivery receipts and exceptions.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
