Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver in Piqua, OH. You will drive local routes, deliver food products to customers, and return home each day. The role requires unloading up to 100 lbs, using a ramp and two-wheeler, and maintaining safety and reliability on every shift.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL License at hire.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record as required by DOT standards.
• Must be registered through the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers on scheduled routes; build relationships with customers.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs and use a ramp and two-wheeler during shifts.
• Be home daily with day shifts and local routes; start early and complete routes.
• Receive pay that reflects per-mile, per-stop, and per-delivery components.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location: Piqua, OH

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule: Monday - Friday. Start time 3am-6am until the route is finished

Pay: Drivers average $75K - 95K /year

• Guaranteed minimum of $1100 /week

• Daily base pay, plus component pay

• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)

• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check

• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards

• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
