Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Lima, OH. You will deliver food products to a variety of customers, unload heavy cases, and stay close to home with local routes. Start times are early with Monday–Friday schedules and a guaranteed weekly pay component.

Drivers enjoy daily home time, increased earnings through per-mile, per-stop and per-case pay, and comprehensive benefits from the Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL at hire.
• Able to unload cases up to 100 lbs.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Will pass a drug test and background check.
• Maintain a clean driving record as per DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals and universities.
• Build relationships with customers while delivering orders.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs; use ramp and two-wheeler during shift.
• Work day shifts on local routes and be home daily.
• Earn pay through base, per mile, per stop and per case delivered.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location : Lima, OH

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you\'ll be home every day. You\'ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you\'ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule : Monday - Friday. Start time 3AM - 6AM until the route is finished.

Pay : Drivers average $75K - $95K /year Guaranteed minimum of $1100 /week

Daily base pay, plus component pay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age


• Class A CDL License at hire


• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds


• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift


• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)


• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check


• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards


• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
