Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Jackson, MI is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. This role features an early start (4–6 AM) from Monday to Friday and a pay package that includes daily base pay plus component pay for miles, stops, and delivered cases.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A CDL license at hire.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Must be registered through the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.

Responsibilities

• Read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, and complete paperwork.
• Operate a delivery route and ensure safe handling of goods.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies.

Location: 1300 Falahee Dr., Jackson MI

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4-6AM start time

Pay: Drivers average $80-90K /year Guaranteed minimum of $1,100 /week Daily base pay, plus component pay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you? At least 21 years of age Class A CDL License at hire Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions) Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
