Job summary

NOW Courier is hiring a CDL-A truck driver to operate flatbed routes with daily home time in Indianapolis, IN. You will load and unload cargo, use a piggyback forklift, and maintain safe driving practices on a fast-paced team.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a $2,000 referral bonus, with weekly earnings of $1,300–$1,700 for a typical 50-hour week. Base pay starts at $32/hour plus overtime, with possible weekend routes for additional pay.

Qualifications

• 3 years of CDL-A driving experience required.
• Flatbed experience required.
• Moffett forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive, load and unload cargo.
• Operate piggyback forklift per safety procedures.
• Follow routes and safety regulations in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with team to ensure timely deliveries, including possible weekend routes.

Job description

$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS | $2,000 REFERRAL BONUS AVAILABLE

• $1,300-$1,700 weekly average, based on an expected 50-hour workweek
• Base hourly pay starting at $32, plus overtime paid at time and a half for hour over 50 per week.
• Monday-Friday home daily with possible weekend routes available for additional pay.
• 7:00 AM typical start time,with a 10-12 hour shift. Daily start and end times will vary based on route completion and business needs.
• Flatbed freight, sometimes preloaded, no tarp. Lumber trusses and other construction materials. Occasionaldry van and box truck work.
• Touch freight will be required. Load, unload, and place materials using a piggyback forklift (Moffett) while following all safety procedures.

3 years of CDL-A truck driving experience REQUIRED, previous CDLA flatbed experience is REQUIRED. Previous Moffett experience is preferred.

Driver Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must hold a valid Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• An excellent driving record.
• Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Must have and maintain a verifiable Commercial Class A Driver’s License, demonstrated safe driving record, and remain insurable through the company’s liability insurance carrier as applicable.

This job operates primarily in a warehouse/vehicle environment with frequent exposure to safety/health hazard potential. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

While the offices of NOW Courier are open from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, this job will require work beyond these hours and on the weekends.
