Job summary

Quality Custom Distribution is hiring a Class A CDL Driver to work Capitol Heights, MD, with home daily and a 24/7 operation. You will deliver food products to restaurant customers, handle lift-free loading, and keep DOT logs up to date while sustaining excellent dispatch communication.

Must have a valid Class A CDL and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience, with ability to lift up to 75+ lbs and work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Clear communication with dispatch, stores, and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products safely and efficiently to restaurant customers.
• Load/unload using hand trucks or pallet jacks in touch-freight role.
• Complete vehicle inspections and maintain DOT logs accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch and store personnel; ensure compliance.

In This Role, You’ll

• Operate a diesel-powered tractor-trailer on local routes - no layovers
• Deliver food products safely and efficiently to restaurant customers
• Load and unload using hand trucks or pallet jacks - this is a touch-freight role
• Complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT logs, and submit accurate paperwork
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, store personnel, and team members
• Handle return loads and ensure equipment and deliveries are in compliance

What You’ll Bring

• A valid Class A CDL, current DOT medical card, and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving and delivery experience
• Ability to lift 5–75+ lbs., stay active throughout the shift, and work in multi-temperature environments (coolers/freezers)
• Strong customer service skills and clear communication with dispatch, store teams, and fellow drivers
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
• Ability to complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT logs, and meet all compliance requirements, including reading and speaking English as required by DOT regulations

The Schedule & Setting

• Dispatch: Afternoon
• Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays
• Make 15-20 stops
• All trailers equipped with lift gates -no ramps
• Touch freight - withrepetitive lifting 75+ lbs.

Pay & Benefits

Limited time $3k sign-on bonus

Pay Range (Base Pay):

$32.37

Other Compensation:

May include shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.
