Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Austell, GA is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver for full-time overnight routes. You will inspect vehicles, verify bills of lading, drive to customer locations, and maintain logs per DOT rules.

You will unload deliveries and support other assignments as needed. Requirements include a CDL-A, at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience, and English reading/writing proficiency to perform tasks safely and accurately.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of regulations and maneuvering skills.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations; document delivery receipt and temperatures.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you\'ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you\'ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate
