Job summary

Schneider National in Providence, RI, is seeking drivers for dedicated trucking with dry van equipment. You will haul retail merchandise with 100% no-touch and 80% drop-and-hook freight, averaging about 13 loads per week and routes in CT/MA/NH/NY/PA (no NYC).

Earn mileage pay plus on-duty hourly pay, weekly performance pay, and opportunities such as sign-on bonuses, paid orientation, PTO and an annual bonus up to 2% of gross pay. Benefits include insurance and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Tanker endorsement within 90 days of hire.
• HazMat endorsement within 90 days of hire.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Weekly performance pay.
• $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• $7,500 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for inexperienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 2% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire — Schneider’s self-paced online certification training will help you secure it.
• Live within 50 miles of Putnam, CT.
