Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced, motivated part-time Dedicated CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team in Ashland, VA. You will drive a day cab tractor pulling a 53’ Van or Reefer trailer carrying groceries to various locations in VA, DC and North Carolina.

Earn $29.00 per hour with weekly pay, paid vacation, PTO, and annual holidays. Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance plus 401(k) with Company Match; annual Profit Sharing, Short/Long Term Disability, and Wellness Programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience.
• Non-excepted Interstate DOT medical card.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• No more than three moving violations or accidents within the last 3 years.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Completing deliveries to locations based on daily manifest and picking up returns as needed.
• Ensure safety and security of tractor and freight; comply with DOT regulations.
• Build relationships with customers and account managers through effective communication.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Minimum 1 year of recent tractor trailer experience
• Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older

• Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write and speak English
