Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings is seeking CDL-A drivers for local and regional routes in the Metro-Detroit area. The team operates a fleet of day cab, sleeper, and 53' dry van equipment to meet customer needs with a focus on safety and timely deliveries.

We offer a paid per move structure with flat rate and mileage pay, home daily schedules, and 50-60 hour work weeks. Benefits start after 90 days and include health, dental, and vision coverage, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL license.
• 6 months verifiable tractor trailer experience in the last year.
• Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Secure and handle freight properly (may include loading/unloading depending on the employer).
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
• Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
