Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a CDL A Driver to safely operate heavy trucks for delivery and removal of large containers. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, complete daily vehicle checks, and service customer routes with a focus on efficiency and professionalism.

The role requires a Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement and typically 2 years of trucking experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills are valued in a team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle per policy.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service customers.
• Load/unload refuse and operate compactor per safety policies.
• Interact with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely service.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the yard.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag accordingly.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and ensure safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and minimize downtime.
• Complete required route sheets, VCRs and reports.
• Follow productivity standards to service customers efficiently.
• Participate in the ReSOP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
