Job summary

QXO is seeking a Boom Truck Operator to safely transport and place building materials at customer sites. You will operate hydraulic boom equipment, verify loads, and communicate with dispatch to ensure accurate deliveries.

The role emphasizes safety, OSHA and DOT compliance, and strong customer service, with opportunities to work in a field-based, outdoor environment across delivery territories.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid CDL Class A or B license in good standing.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) is required.
• Hoisting or crane operator certification may be required by state or local regulations.
• Clean driving record and ability to satisfy company driving requirements.
• Experience delivering building materials and operating boom/crane equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver building materials to customer jobsites with a boom truck.
• Plan routes considering traffic, weather, and jobsite access.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections per DOT/FMCSA rules.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and customers; obtain delivery confirmations.
• Operate hydraulic boom equipment and unload materials safely at sites.
• Secure loads and assist with loading at branches; verify quantities on delivery.
• Provide exceptional customer service and professional interactions.
