Job summary

Aapstaff is seeking an Agronomy Tender Truck Driver in Illinois to safely operate a tender truck, transporting fertilizer and agricultural chemicals from the loading facility to fields, and assisting with loading and equipment while performing required inspections.

The role requires a CDL Class A or B with air brake, tanker, and Hazmat endorsements, plus ability to work extended hours and handle physically demanding tasks safely and professionally.

Qualifications

• CDL is REQUIRED with Class A or B.
• Air brake, tanker, and Hazmat endorsements required.
• Must be certified to operate a manual transmission.
• No more than one chargeable accident within the last three years.
• No more than one moving violation within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tender truck and safely transport fertilizer and agricultural chemicals from the loading facility to the field of application.
• Assist with loading trucks and application equipment.
• Connect hoses and hook up appropriate equipment at the loading location or in the field.
• Operate PTO-driven pumps to operate augers and conveyors.
• Open and close hopper doors to allow product flow.
• Maintain the equipment and facilities in a safe, clean, and professional condition.
• Perform and record daily safety checks of assigned vehicles and associated equipment.
• Complete required paperwork like logbooks and cargo records daily.
