Customer Value Partners (CVP) seeks PRN-Medical Records Technicians to back up our CDI team at the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr.

VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN. You will collaborate with the CDI Nursing Advisor to ensure clinical documentation integrity for inpatient and outpatient services. Responsibilities include analyzing records, generating provider queries, developing the CDI program, and establishing SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• AHIMA, AAPC, or ACDIS certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as a CDI Specialist.
• US citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust clearance.

Responsabilités

• Review health records to identify documentation improvement opportunities.
• Generate queries to clinicians to clarify clinical documentation.
• Develop the facility's CDI program for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Focus on inpatient cases and outpatient abstracts.
• Create SOPs, workflows, and templates per current standards.
• Update SNOMED-CT terminology in line with ICD-10-CM codes.
• Reconcile code or MS-DRG discrepancies and conduct program evaluation.
• Monitor CDI metrics and deliver periodic reports.
