Job summary

Ensemble is seeking a Director of Clinical Documentation Integrity to provide strategic leadership and oversee the organization's CDI program. The role focuses on improving documentation quality, reimbursement accuracy, and regulatory compliance across inpatient services.

The Director will partner with physicians, coding leadership, case management, and revenue cycle to drive performance, education, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field; RN license preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive Clinical Documentation Integrity experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing CDI programs and teams.
• Experience in acute care hospital environments.
• Strong understanding of DRG reimbursement methodologies and inpatient clinical documentation standards.
• Proven experience driving physician engagement and documentation improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Clinical Documentation Integrity operations.
• Develop and execute CDI program goals aligned with organizational objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop CDI managers, supervisors, and team members.
• Drive improvements in documentation quality, CC/MCC capture, SOI, ROM, and overall reimbursement accuracy.
• Partner with coding, quality, case management, compliance, revenue cycle, and physician leadership teams to optimize CDI practices.
• Monitor CDI productivity, quality, and financial performance metrics.
• Develop physician education strategies and lead provider engagement initiatives.
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, governmental, and organizational documentation standards.
