Job summary

e4health seeks a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Consultant to perform chart reviews, ensure documentation reflects patient severity and complexity, and educate providers as needed.

The role requires 3+ years of clinical documentation experience, an active RN license, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work at least 32 hours per week in a US-based environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical documentation experience
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate medical records
• Ability to use PC for medical record review and Microsoft products
• Effective communication with management and clients
• Familiarity with AI tools
• Ability to work on a Mac computer
• Full Time - at least 32 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and/or retrospective review to identify documentation opportunities
• Collaborate with providers and coders to reflect patient complexity
• Review records for complete and accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures
• Initiate and complete queries to reflect accurate patient data
• Adhere to ACDIS, AAPC, and AHIMA guidelines
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA
• Demonstrate understanding of DRG payer issues and quality metrics
• Work with client and management to meet assignment needs
• Utilize client software as required
