Job summary

Applied Materials in Gloucester, MA is seeking a CD-SEM Metrology Engineering Technician for a 100% onsite weekend shift (Fri–Mon, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM). You will support wafer and device characterization on the CD-SEM Verity platform, develop imaging recipes, and report results to customers.

Minimum 2 years of SEM/CD-SEM experience is required, with a STEM degree preferred. You’ll work in a small, dynamic team, ensuring uptime and contributing to metrology tool performance in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on SEM/CD-SEM experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM preferred (materials science, chemistry, physics or related).
• Knowledge of vacuum science and semiconductor fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform wafer and device characterization using CD-SEM Verity platform for applications development and demonstrations.
• Develop imaging acquisition recipes and optimized algorithms for CD, CDU, LER, and LWR measurements.
• Report results to internal and external customers through written and oral presentations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure high performance and uptime under supervision.
• Document maintenance and repairs in logbook and tracking system.
• Support operating other metrology equipment in lab for implant characterization as time permits.
