Job summary

Confidential is seeking a CCU Registered Nurse for a day-shift, 12-week assignment in the Coronary Care Unit in Lewiston, Maine. You will monitor care, document and adjust plans to ensure patient safety, and participate in rounding to improve patient experience.

The role requires an active Maine RN license, BLS and ACLS on hire, and at least one year of acute care/CCU experience with BVP certification within six months. Hourly pay ranges from $52 to $60, with shifts paying $624–$720 per shift.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Maine.
• BLS (AHA) certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required at hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year staff nurse experience in an acute care hospital setting; Critical Care experience required.
• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Monitors quality of care, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Implements immediate care plan changes to promote patient safety.
• Conducts patient and family rounding to enhance the patient experience.
• Serves as a resource for patients, families, and staff.
• Provides direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing ratios.
• Supports daily unit operations and communicates patient care or safety concerns.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and evaluates staff; assists with performance management.
• Ensures adequate supplies, equipment functionality, and inventory levels.
• Coordinates with departments to support efficient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Oversees nursing staff and patient care during assigned shift.
