Job summary

Confidential in Lewiston, Maine seeks a CCU Registered Nurse to join the Coronary Care Unit for a 12-week assignment. Day shifts available. The role offers direct patient care, patient-family rounding, and opportunities to influence care plans while maintaining staffing and supply logistics.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of acute/critical care experience. BVP certification within 6 months is expected to be completed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification (AHA) on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification (AHA) on hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year staff nurse experience in acute/critical care.
• BVP certificate within 6 months of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitors quality of care, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Implements immediate care plan changes to promote patient safety.
• Conducts patient and family rounding to enhance the patient experience.
• Serves as a resource for patients, families, and staff.
• Provides direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing ratios.
• Supports daily unit operations and communicates patient care or safety concerns.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and evaluates staff; assists with performance management.
• Ensures adequate supplies, equipment functionality, and inventory levels.
• Coordinates with departments to support efficient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Oversees nursing staff and patient care during assigned shift.
