Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Coronary Care Unit at St. Anne Hospital in Ohio. This role supports nurses with direct patient care, vital signs, hygiene, mobility and daily living activities.

The ideal candidate has nursing aide training or STNA/CNA certification. BLS is preferred and EPIC EHR training is beneficial. Night shift with part-time hours, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in acute care or similar setting is preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire.
• OH LTC eligibility criteria or equivalent nursing aide certification required by role.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care (vital signs, hygiene, feeding, mobility) under RN guidance.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse for changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and families.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in EHR.
• Assist with hand-off/report of pertinent information on arrival and departure.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated.
