Job summary

City of Savannah is seeking a skilled Televising Technician to operate CCTV trucks and inspect the city's stormwater system. You will collect video and data, manage traffic safety, and obtain maps/blueprints daily. The role requires a valid driver's license and basic experience with videotaping production.

Work hours typically 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with additional duties as assigned. This position is based in Savannah, GA and supports the Utilities/Public Works operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of work experience in sanitary sewer, stormwater, or wastewater treatment and some exposure to videotaping production.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CCTV truck and equipment to inspect stormwater systems.
• Collect and record data related to inspections, including video footage, images, and reports in designated software.
• Manage traffic control and ensure site safety in accordance with project requirements and safety protocols.
• Obtain all utility maps and/or blueprints for daily work assignments.
• Service, clean, and maintain CCTV equipment and the assigned vehicle, performing minor repairs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
