Job summary

Southwest Health System in Mancos, CO is seeking a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) to keep patient care moving fast, safe, and seamless in our clinic. You will support providers, room patients, take vitals, and ensure accurate EMR documentation, while prioritizing patient comfort and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
• CCMA certificate must be current within 3 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1+ year clinic setting experience preferred.
• Strong English communication skills; additional languages a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use an electronic medical record (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, capture vitals, and help them feel at ease before the provider.
• Maintain clear, accurate EMR charts and relay results when ready.
• Explain next steps in clear, reassuring language to patients.
• Coordinate referrals, prep rooms, and keep supplies organized.
• Support providers with procedures and maintain safety checks and emergency readiness.
