Job summary

CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment for members and guests at the hospital's pool facilities.

The role involves monitoring activity, teaching swimming lessons when needed, and maintaining a clean pool area in compliance with health codes. The position requires AED/CPR and Lifeguard certification along with a high school education.

Responsibilities

• Provides a welcoming greeting to members and guests entering the aquatics area.
• Monitors guest activity to maintain a safe aquatics environment at all times.
• Assists with cleaning and maintenance of pool and surrounding areas to meet health codes.
• Maintains pool equipment, heaters, and surfaces per facility policy.
• Provides aquatics services, including swimming lessons and supervising group activities.
• Demonstrates professionalism aligned with facility values and standards.
• Performs other duties as needed to ensure member/guest satisfaction.

The Lifeguard provides members and guests with a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** :**

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. AED/CPR Certified.

2. Current Lifeguard Certification through the American Red Cross, United States Lifesaving Association (USLA), or American Lifeguard Association (ALA).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** :**

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school education or equivalent.

1. Provides a welcoming greeting to members and guest when they enter the aquatics area.

2. Monitors guest activity within the aquatics environments to ensure a safe aquatics environment at all times.

3. Assists with the maintenance of a clean and safe pool environment to ensure that it meets all required local health codes and quest needs. This may include monitoring and balancing water chemistry, monitoring and maintaining pool temperature, and monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of the pool.

4. Assists with the maintenance of a clean and safe pool environment through proper cleaning and preventative maintenance of aquatics environment including filter room equipment, heaters, and pool surfaces per facility policy and procedures.

5. Provides aquatics services, including teaching swimming lessons, supervising group swim activities, and helping with other aquatics program activities.

6. Demonstrates professionalism that aligns with the values, philosophies, and standards of the facility.

7. Performs other facility-related duties, as needed, to ensure the satisfaction of members and guests.
