Job summary

IMR Soft LLC is seeking a Network Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Spring, TX to design, operate, automate, and continually improve reliable enterprise network services for large Gulf Coast refinery and chemical operations.

The role emphasizes SD-WAN, routing (BGP), switching, wireless, and Fortinet firewall technologies, with automation via Python and Ansible. On-site work four days a week, with on-call rotations and strong collaboration across operations and cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise network engineering and operations experience.
• Expert understanding of routing protocols, especially BGP.
• Hands-on switching and wireless technologies experience.
• Experience with firewall platforms in enterprise networks.
• Experience with Python scripting, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Understanding of APIs and system integration concepts.
• Experience in monitoring, telemetry, observability, and incident troubleshooting.
• Capable of disciplined change and incident management.
• Willing to participate in on-call rotation.
• Must be able to work onsite in Spring, TX four days/week.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and troubleshoot reliable network services.
• Lead routing protocol expertise with emphasis on BGP.
• Support and optimize SD-WAN environments.
• Manage Cisco Catalyst switching and Cisco Wireless.
• Operate Fortinet firewall platforms.
• Develop scripts and automation using Python and Ansible.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and remediation.
• Establish observability with monitoring, telemetry, logging, alerts.
• Integrate network platforms with APIs and ITSM systems.
• Apply change-management and incident-response practices.
• Collaborate with Operations and security teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and runbooks.
