Job summary

Volunteers of America, Dakotas is seeking a Project Director for the CCBHC initiative in Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time leadership role oversees program design, partnerships, workforce development, and compliance to advance CCBHC services and rural access to behavioral health.

You will coordinate across teams, manage grants, and drive quality improvement, reporting to the President & CEO, with a focus on sustainability and community impact.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, healthcare administration, public health, or related settings.
• Minimum of three years of project, program, or grant management experience.
• Experience with federally funded programs, healthcare transformation initiatives, or complex organizational projects.
• Knowledge of behavioral health systems, Medicaid reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead program initiatives necessary to achieve CCBHC certification and accreditation.
• Lead planning, implementation, and ongoing development of CCBHC services.
• Direct organizational efforts related to CCBHC certification and compliance activities.
• Facilitate strategic planning and organizational transformation aligned with CCBHC requirements.
• Coordinate agency-wide workgroups and committees to support milestones and improvement.
