Job summary

NHS Scotland's Highland Eating Disorder Service is seeking a Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join on a part-time basis (26.5 hours per week). The role focuses on delivering specialist psychological assessment and CBT-based interventions for individuals with eating disorders across the Highland region.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, provide supervision, and contribute to service development while maintaining evidence-based practice. Full or part-time hours are available.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised CBT qualification (BABCP-accredited or accreditable).
• Significant post-qualification CBT delivery experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience with eating disorders or complex mental health presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist CBT interventions for eating disorders, including CBT-E and related approaches.
• Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments, risk assessments, and formulation of complex cases.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatry, dietetics, nursing, and support staff.
• Offer consultation, supervision, and support to colleagues and partner services.
• Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
