Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Eau Claire, WI, is seeking a PRN Behavioral Health Counselor to provide cognitive behavioral therapy and group interventions. The role supports upcoming PHP/IOP locations opening in fall 2026, with supervision by the Clinical leader and a focus on patient-centered care.

The position emphasizes documentation, supervision, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, plus training others and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Must hold a valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential (or state equivalent).
• 12 months CBT experience preferred.
• Residential programs require a current and active driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide CBT services including groups under supervision to address patients' specific needs and goals.
• Participate in supervision sessions and communicate patient progress and care plan adjustments.
• Monitor intervention effectiveness and adjust as needed in consultation with Clinical leader.
• Document mental health services per regulations and payer expectations within medical records, including treatment plans and assessments.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assist in treatment plan development.
• Communicate treatment interventions and support needs to the interdisciplinary team and support systems.
• Provide training to direct care team on CBT interventions and behavioral treatment plans.
• Provide parent or support person training on CBT strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
• Ensure patient safety and facility safety.
• Support staffing/scheduling changes as program needs require.
• Pursue continuing education and participate in committees as determined by management.
