CBP Audit & Data Integration Lead – Business Analyst

Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Business Analyst to join our TIMS program supporting CBP. The role is primarily onsite in Ashburn, VA with discretionary telework, and requires coordinating audits, data calls, and interagency agreements while communicating with executives and external auditors.

The candidate will bridge leadership, technical SMEs, and stakeholders, tracking MOAs/MOUs/SLAs and delivering data-driven performance insights to improve system operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Engineering, CS, or Business
• 5–8 years as a Business Analyst in IT operations, audit coordination, or compliance tracking
• Experience managing high-visibility data calls across multiple technical teams
• Experience tracking and facilitating formal documentation approvals (MOAs/MOUs/SLAs) across agencies
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret system performance data and produce actionable reports
• Outstanding written and oral communication to engage with leadership and external auditors
• Ability to collaborate and manage individual tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in US Government IT environments supporting DHS or CBP preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point for audit coordination, data requests, and SME access for auditors.
• Conduct semi-annual and project audits; document issues and corrective actions; manage audit reports to closure.
• Receive and distribute high-visibility data calls to PSPD SMEs for DHS/CBP reviews.
• Schedule, coordinate, and participate in meetings related to executive reviews, data calls, and process improvement boards.
• Coordinate MOA/MOU/ISA approvals through DHS and OIT review panels to final approval.
• Track data approval requests and policies from external agencies to full closure.
• Provide analytical support using in-house monitoring applications to analyze production data and identify improvements.
• Offer data-driven recommendations to PSPD to alleviate application performance issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
