CBHC ESP Overnight Counselor, Florence

Clinical & Support Options, Inc. (CSO) is looking for a counselor to work overnights in our Community Behavioral Health Clinic Emergency Services Program (ESP) in Florence. The program offers 24‑hour behavioral health assessments, intervention and stabilization for youth, families and adults, and serves as a preferred alternative to hospital emergency departments. This role includes daily assessment, brief counseling, case management, nursing support and peer support.

Starting salary: $38,000–$44,000 per year, with premium shift pay available for overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive, therapeutic counseling and safety for clients utilizing the program.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including self‑care, cooking, recreation, and medication administration and documentation according to individual treatment plans and, for overnight shifts, follow program procedures for clients.
• Function as an active member of the Treatment Team, monitoring respite clients with hourly bed checks and documentation and providing closer observation as needed.
• Answer and direct crisis telephone calls according to established procedures and as required for program support.
• Prepare daily evening meals for clients and staff if working the evening shift.
• Present cases to insurance companies and obtain prior approvals as assigned.
