Duties and Accountabilities:
Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. At least three (3) years of recent experience (within last 6 years) in aircraft electrical/avionics maintenance, including corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention; working with blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and safety standards.
Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces aircraft avionics school or equivalent training, or 3 years of on-the-job training/experience. Must meet government/company licensing requirements, obtain necessary security clearance, be a US citizen, and obtain a CAC card within 6 months.
Work typically in hangar, shop, or flight line environments requiring physical movements such as climbing, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. May work in adverse weather, noisy areas, and be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical hazards. Vision requirements include close, peripheral, and depth perception.
Must obtain within 6 months of start date: various certifications including Hazardous Waste, FOD/TCP Awareness, Security Clearance, NALCOMIS, Driver's License, Support Equipment Operator, ESD Awareness, and others listed.
