Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting our client seeking a disciplined Feedlot Manager for a midsize feedlot of up to 50,000 head in Nebraska. You will oversee cattle receiving, processing and shipping, feeding, bunk reading, and animal health across the yard, with responsibility for day-to-day operations and staff leadership.

Ideal candidates have strong cattle experience, proven management ability, and solid references, with capacity to communicate with long-standing customers and absentee owners

Qualifications

• Must have strong cattle knowledge and handling skill with solid animal health and current experience.
• 5+ years feedlot leadership and management experience as GM or cattle manager/assistant to GM.
• Ability to demonstrate team leadership and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all areas of the feed yard and day-to-day operations.
• Manage cattle receiving, processing, shipping, feeding, bunk reading, and ration management.
• Lead employees including cattle/pen riders and animal health staff; communicate with customers and absentee owners.
