Job summary

Solid Power is seeking a Sr. Scientist I to lead catholyte development in the R&D group. You will guide electrochemical research, mentor a small team, and coordinate with modeling, engineering, and manufacturing to drive electrolyte technology for solid-state batteries.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s with significant R&D experience in electrochemistry or related field.
• Proven leadership of complex R&D projects.
• Strong experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.

Responsibilities

• Lead catholyte product development within R&D.
• Develop transport, interfacial, and microstructure understanding of electrolytes in cathode composites.
• Mentor scientists; conduct performance-related experiments and publishable work.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet scale-up objectives and communicate results to teams.
