Job summary

Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester, MN, seeks a Director of Youth Formation & Education to lead and grow our parish youth faith formation programs, sacraments, retreats, and family discipleship initiatives. The role oversees catechists, coordinates events, ensures Safe Environment compliance, and partners with the pastor and staff to articulate a vibrant Catholic culture rooted in Church teaching.

Qualifications

• Active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
• Ability to articulate Catholic doctrine with charity.
• Bachelor's Degree in Theology or related field preferred.
• Experience in youth ministry or faith formation preferred.
• Familiarity with Catholic curriculum and sacramental preparation programs preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer the parish Confirmation Program.
• Develop and oversee youth formation activities, retreats, events, and sacramental celebrations.
• Recruit, train, supervise volunteer catechists and chaperones.
• Coordinate communications with youth, parents, volunteers, and parish staff.
• Ensure Safe Environment compliance.
• Create annual ministry calendars and manage expenditures.
• Attend diocesan workshops and collaborate with parish staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Pastor.
