Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is seeking a Preschool Aide to provide a safe, nurturing environment for preschoolers, aligning with Catholic values.

You will assist with supervision, activities, and care during extended care hours, supporting teachers and maintaining a faith-filled classroom. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, promoting growth, communicating with families, and adhering to health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage preschool students during extended care hours.
• Support a Christ-centered atmosphere through actions and Catholic values.
• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities (play, crafts, snacks, rest).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment per school and state guidelines.
• Monitor and support students' emotional, social, and physical development.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and health/safety protocols.
• Support classroom teachers and staff as needed.
• Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
